Bin Size Guide: Choosing Between a 10, 14 or 20 Yard Bin

Two things decide your bin: how much space the debris takes up, and how much it weighs. Light-and-bulky loads like furniture or lumber run out of volume first. Dense loads like shingles, tile, plaster and concrete run out of weight first. Our flat rates include the tonnage listed below, so heavy jobs don't turn into a scale-ticket surprise at the end.

JobBinWhy
Single-room cleanout or garage purge10 yardRoughly 3 pickup-truck loads. Fits in one driveway lane and clears a packed garage, a basement storage room, or one bedroom's worth of furniture.
Kitchen or bathroom renovation14 yardCabinets, counters, tile, drywall and subfloor add up in weight fast. The 14 is the size most GTA renovators land on.
Full-home or estate cleanout20 yardMultiple rooms of furniture plus decades of stored items. One 20 usually beats two 10s on both price and driveway time.
Asphalt shingle re-roof (single layer, up to ~25 squares)14 yardShingles are dense — volume runs out slower than weight. Size for tonnage, not for how full the bin looks.
Deck teardown or fence removal14 yardLumber is bulky but light. You'll fill the space long before you get near the included tonnage.
Concrete, brick or soil (clean fill)10 yardHeavy material fills the weight allowance in a small footprint. Never load clean fill into a large bin — call us and we'll advise.
